I studied foreign languages and international relations. I also did postgraduate management studies for artists. I live in Poland and I work at the University of Warsaw.
My life revolves around my two passions: music and foreign languages. The fact that it is connected with languages is not surprising at all because I have always had linguistic interests. It was obvious from the very beginning that I would pursue this kind of professional career. I speak Polish, English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian and Danish.
When it comes to music, the situation looked completely different. When I was a teenager, I had two main hobbies: geography and English. I learned this language in a little bit unusual way. I translated the song lyrics of foreign artists. Although I deal with English in my professional life, I have never had it at school.
My fondness for music and English resulted in a hobby which was a logical consequence but seemed to be quite bizarre at that time – writing English song lyrics. In the 80s and 90s Polish artists very seldom sang in English and promotion opportunities abroad were almost non-existent. Everything changed with the advent of the Internet. I started establishing music contacts and my old, unrealistic hobby turned into a professional activity. Now I cooperate with many musicians, songwriters and producers and my songs are being released in Poland and abroad. My dream has finally come true.
My favourite lyricists are: Neil Tennant, Agnieszka Osiecka and Jacek Cygan. As far as music is concerned, I admire artists who can be on the music market for a long time and they still come up with interesting music ideas.
My favourite artists are: George Michael, Thomas Anders, Annie Lennox, Michael Cretu, Madonna, Mylene Farmer, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, A-ha and Kylie Minogue.
