freedomThe song was written after the riots which took place in northern Africa in 2011. The citizens of some African countries wanted to overthrow the detestable dictatorships. Inspired by these events, I decided to write a song about freedom – definitely the most important value in our lives. On the other hand, I didn’t want it to be a political manifest. Therefore I presented in this song different aspects of freedom.
We all should be free and nobody has the right to force us to live the way we don’t want to. Of course I realize that it’s easier said than done and it’s not always possible but at least we should try to stand up for our rights.
The shortened house mix of the previous song – rearranged by two DJ’s. This version was chosen as the anthem of Sunrise Festival Afterparty 2011.

Just everyone – both me and you
dreams a dream of freedom
but we see the lucky few
can rejoice in freedom
From New Delhi to L.A.
people pray for freedom
Trends are changing every day
What remains is freedom
Everybody – worldwide
needs a little freedom

Broken men – a prison cell
silent cry for freedom
Lonely tears and years in jail
hidden dreams of freedom
They were fighting for their rights
long-awaited freedom
questioned their dictator’s lies
paid the price for freedom

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

A sad girl from rich West End
also dreams of freedom
Parents had her future planned
She’s deprived of freedom
No emotions – true emotions!
No true love – no freedom!
Parents don’t accept her love
What she needs is freedom!

You – me – she
everybody should be free!
I know
You – me – he
everybody should be free!
You know
You – me – we
everybody should be free!
We know
You – me – we
everybody should be free!

Some of us work ‘round the clock
losing our freedom
Crazy, hectic pace of life
Where is our freedom?

Everybody around the world
dreams a dream of freedom
